Phonics Screening Test

86% of our year one children achieved the required standard in this year's Phonics Screening Test.

45.5% of the 11 year two children who re-took the Phonics Screening Test this year achieved the required standard. This means that 86% of the year two cohort are now working at or above the required standard.

Scheme

From September 2022 the teaching of phonics has followed the 'Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised' programme. Children are taught in classes in Reception and in groups in Key Stage One.
