***UPDATE TO THE PROCEDURE FOR WORK SUBMISSION - YEAR 5 ONLY

From Monday 18th January could all year 5 pupils email their Maths, English and Reading work to the email inbox of the teacher who teaches them. So if you are taught by Mr Rush for Maths but Mrs Veeramah for English and Reading then email your maths work to 5-6R@fairhaven.dudley.sch.uk and your English and Reading work to 5VT@fairhaven.dudley.sch.uk.

This way your teachers can more effectively monitor your progress during this period of lockdown.

From today (Monday 18.01.21) we will be launching our home learning version of Fast Maths for Key Stage 2 pupils. This will give you a great opportunity to maintain and improve your times tables skills. Please read the parent and pupil information document below for further details. Don’t forget to email your personal record sheet to me on Friday each week so that I can see how well you have been doing.

WELCOME TO CLASS 5/6

Welcome to Class 5/6's web page. 

Here you will find useful information about our class.

 

 

Class Information

Teacher: Mr T. Rush

Teaching Assistants: Mrs Benson, Mrs Grosvenor, Mrs Coldicott and Miss Green.

Cohort: Mixed Year 5 and Year 6 children.

 

  • P.E. lessons are on a Monday and Friday. Please ensure the children come to school dressed in their P.E. kit with suitable outdoor footwear and a tracksuit. Until further notice, all P.E. lessons will be taught outside.
  • Homework is set on a Thursday with the expectation that it is completed and submitted by Tuesday of the following week. All homework instructions can be read by downloading the homework documents below.
  • Could all parents please check that they are monitoring and acknowledging their children's reading at home by signing their Reading Records each day. This is monitored, in school, daily.

Our current topic is...

OFF WITH HER HEAD!
(The Tudors)

This half term we will be studying the period of British History known as The Tudors. We will explore the life and reign of King Henry VIII, including his six wives and his direct impact on religion in Britain with the founding of the Church of England. We will also explore the culture and arts of the period.
