Class Information

Teacher: Mr T. Rush

Cohort: Mixed Year 5 and Year 6 children.

 

  • P.E. lessons are on a Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure the children have their P.E. kit in school along with suitable footwear.
  • Homework is set on a Thursday with the expectation that it is completed and submitted by Tuesday of the following week. All homework instructions can be obtained by downloading the homework documents below.
  • Could all parents please check that they are monitoring and acknowledging their children's reading at home.by signing their Reading Records on the weekend. This is reviewed daily.

CURRENT AND UPCOMING NEWS

  • Year 5 Science and History themed trip to the Black Country Museum (industry in the Black Country - workshops and tours) - 18th March 2020. This is the second Science event held at the Black Country Museum where the children learn about a variety of topics and participate in workshops (it is not a standard trip to the BCLM). Twenty children have been chosen to attend this fantastic opportunity. Details of the trip can be found in the letter that was distributed on 27-01-20. A copy is available on our Letters web page.
  • Year 5 and Year 6 trip to the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton on 21st May 2020 to see a performance of Louis Sachar's HOLES. Details of the trip will be distributed in due course.

 

Our current topic for this half term is...

 

Hola Mexico!

 

 

Hola Mexico is a study of the ancient civilisation of the Mayans which rose from Central America. This topic will have a heavier focus on developing our children's geographical skills and knowledge where by comparisons of the physical and human features in the countries of Mexico (Central America), Spain (Mainland Europe) and the UK will be made.
